Shannon Golub, LMSW

Shannon is a licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a Gottman Method-trained couples therapist. While Shannon specializes in relationship and family work, she also enjoys working individually with adolescents and adults. Shannon strongly believes in the importance of family therapy as a key component of individual healing when working with youth and young adult clients. She works with clients experiencing various mental health concerns and challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, depression, life transitions, and relational issues.

Treatment Approach

Shannon employs a collaborative and strengths-based approach that integrates various therapeutic methods and interventions. Pulling from her training in evidence-based modalities that include ACT, CBT, The Gottman Method, and more, she tailors her interventions to meet her clients’ unique needs. Her person-centered style creates a space where clients can fully explore their authentic selves without judgment and harness their inner strengths to achieve their therapy and life goals.

Education

Shannon earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore where her studies focused on evidence-based clinical modalities as well as various couples and family therapy techniques. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business at Miami University. Shannon has completed multiple trainings in family and couples therapy, including The Gottman Method Couples Therapy Training (Levels 1 and 2).
