Marci Hameroff, LMSW, M.S.Ed.

Marci Hameroff, LMSW, M.S.Ed., is a warm, engaging therapist who
provides in-person and virtual therapy for children, pre-teens,
adults, and families. She believes every person has unique strengths,
and that therapy should build on those strengths while providing
support through life’s challenges. Marci helps clients navigate
anxiety, depression, ADHD, neurodivergence, emotional regulation
difficulties, behavioral concerns, social challenges, school-related
concerns, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in
helping children and adolescents while strengthening the parent-child
and family relationships that support lasting growth.

Education and Professional Experience

Before becoming a therapist, Marci spent nine years as an educator and
earned her Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) from Johns Hopkins
University. She later completed her Master of Social Work at the
University at Buffalo, where she focused on child development, brain
development, and behavioral health.

Marci’s background as an educator, school social worker, behavioral
therapist, and client advocate gives her a broad understanding of the
many environments that shape children’s, adolescents’, and adults’
emotional well-being. She enjoys collaborating with families and
schools to help clients experience meaningful and lasting growth.

In addition to her work in education and social work, Marci has
experience as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist and as a
client advocate with The Legal Aid Society. These experiences have
further strengthened her holistic, strengths-based approach to
supporting individuals and families.

Marci is licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New
York and is currently completing Maryland licensure through
reciprocity. While that process is underway, she provides services
under the clinical supervision of Jonah Green, LCSW-C.

Treatment Approach

Marci believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the
foundation for meaningful change. Her approach is warm, collaborative,
and tailored to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and
developmental needs. Drawing from Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal
Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed approaches, and Applied Behavior
Analysis (ABA), she helps clients build coping skills, improve
emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, develop social
confidence, and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience.
