Liba Rappaport, LCPC

Liba Rappaport is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She specializes in anxiety, parenting, relationship challenges, and family conflict. Liba supports clients facing ADHD, OCD, trauma, mood disorders, school difficulties, and behavioral concerns. In her work with children and teens, she actively collaborates with parents to strengthen communication and promote lasting change within the family system.

Treatment Approach

Liba provides a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported and understood. She utilizes evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and trauma-informed care.

Liba’s approach is practical, strengths-based, and goal-oriented. She helps clients build effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships.

Education

Liba earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Towson University in 2012. She holds certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) through PCIT International (2019) and completed advanced training through the Yale Child Study Center (2023). She is licensed in the state of Maryland (LC4849).
