Daniela Delgado is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who offers virtual and in-person therapy services for pre-teen, adolescent, and adult clients. Dani provides individual, couples, and family therapy and is keen on supporting parents in her work with children. Her therapeutic approach focuses on cultivating a safe and open environment where clients can discover and empower the best parts of themselves and reclaim and nurture the parts that need healing. Dani’s clients and colleagues often describe her as warm, accepting, and genuine.
Education And Work Experience
Following a lifelong passion for human behavior, Dani received her bachelor’s degrees in Advertising and Public Relations and Psychology from the University of Central Florida, with a minor in Sociology and an undergraduate certificate in Behavioral Forensics. After years in corporate and administrative roles, Dani pursued and received her master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Dani completed a year-long post-graduate course in Couples and Family Therapy from Jonah Green and Associates and has additional post-graduate training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Basics, Motivational Interviewing in Substance Use Discovery, and Person-Centered Treatment Planning. Following her graduate program, Dani has worked as a therapist and psychiatric rehabilitation case manager with individuals, couples, and families at Vesta, Inc., a nonprofit community mental health organization serving Medicare and Medicaid recipients throughout Maryland.
Treatment Approach
Dani’s areas of most significant interest and experience include working with clients of multicultural/mixed culture backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, couples, and families working through challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD, social skills, and interpersonal conflict. Dani facilitates this work using an integrative therapeutic approach rooted in Adlerian psychotherapy, developmental psychology, positive psychology, and person-centered therapy.
